Sample Project: «Solving Your Problem»
Issue-driven Search
Assistance with your particular problem depends on developing Issue-Driven Search for you. We are looking for collaborators to work on developing a practical and effective search system, possibly like the system described here.
Such a search system will demand active concentration and commitment with your issue while engaging with THEE. You can watch a demo of this .
Problem-solving issue-driven search is a journey into THEE which involves the following:
1. Summon & See
- The process for getting assistance is called «summoning».
- Once you summon assistance, you will be shown the formal name of one or more taxonomic elements with properties &/or relationships, and your mind will activate itself. (Your brain will also be activated, but you can ignore your brain.)
- The tool then operates both unconsciously and consciously on your behalf.
- Entering a THEE framework this way is «a journey». Like all journeys, it requires some preparation, care and concentration along the way, and reflection and chatting afterwards.
- But you can do a lot in your own way: make it a long or short trip, explore superficially or deeply, go alone or with friends to share the scenery, enjoy the ride, apply the results as you want, keep your experiences private or tell stories.
2. Start & Focus
- Think properly about your issue (or «interest», or «problem», or «concern»).
- Encapsulate your situation in just 1 word (or 2 maximum).
- You will not be permitted to write a paragraph.
- The act of focusing intently is very important.
- Enter your word into the SEARCH box provided and click on the GO button.
- Choose one of the possibilities that are offered to you. (You can always come back and explore others.)
- Then:
- Notice intuitions and ideas that emerge as you interact with the taxonomic material.
- Do not let yourself be overwhelmed—better to think about a single webpage carefully than to skim through many, or try to learn everything.
- Sometimes it helps to try unusual or counter-intuitive routes.
3. Expectations on You
THEE is a mirror in which you can see as much of yourself as you wish. If you look, then you and your mental tool will become as one. So, proceed on your journey willingly, open-mindedly, freely, responsibly and naturally.
- Willingly—have fun; give yourself enough time.
- Open-mindedly—be prepared for new ideas to emerge on the screen or from your own mind, immediately or some time afterwards.
- Freely—only act on what genuinely makes sense to you.
- Responsibly—focus only where you accept responsibility—and then take full responsibility for thoughts that come to you and any actions.
- Naturally—the answer always lies within you, so it works best if you make a genuine inquiry where your commitment is unequivocal. Accept yourself and, if necessary, forgive yourself and others.
4. Benefits for You
THEE-tools spark your own intuitions, thoughts and insights immediately, and also over time. They provide you with a natural language to think or talk about tricky matters.
Taxonomic tools naturally activate your positivity and creativity, if you allow this.
So continue focusing on the issue and THEE-ideas after you leave the computer. Your creativity depends on incubating ideas in the context of your goal. The solution that comes to you may seem to have nothing to do with what you read during the journey—don't worry about that.
Remember: You own the journey and you own the results. What comes into your mind is yours to do with as you choose.
FAQ
Q: What use is a tool if it does not tell me what to do?
A: Screwdrivers don't tell you what to do, but they are very useful. In social life, you also have to determine what to do according to the situation and your own style and preferences. That is the essence of being creative and authentic.
THEE says: when you let someone/something tell you what to do, you are abdicating responsibility and probably diminishing yourself.
Q: Why are the THEE responses so brief?
A: In many cases, you only need to ponder on the taxonomic tool for it to benefit you. Sometimes it helps to positively affirm the THEE-response to yourself and others.
THEE says: the answer to your situation lies within you, and its handling is up to you. Brief focused responses reduce distraction and foster your natural reflective capabilities.
Q: Why am I restricted to typing in one or two words?
A: The restriction is to assist you to focus and to help you get into a suitable frame of mind.
THEE says: focusing increases your level of awareness, sharpens your mental-emotional energy, and supports fun as well as seriousness.
Q: Does the software learn about me as I use it?
A: No, you learn about yourself as you use it.
THEE says: to be successful, it is important that you yourself have the learning experience and develop the needed awareness—not some computer system.
Q: Am I supposed to remember what THEE explains?
A: Some things do need to be remembered and carefully adapted for your particular situation. But if you are concentrating as you explore the Taxonomy, you will unconsciously absorb and retain much that is useful to you, and it will return to your mind when you need it.
THEE says: you can't see it until you see it and then you can't not see it. In this process, being yourself works and seeing yourself helps. Don't try too hard.
Reminder: This is still a hypothetical tool. Help us make it a reality!
