Improving your Benefit: Quadrant Affinity

Each mentality is a different system with its own distinctive logical and emotional consistency and coherence.

The least incompatibility, almost an affinity at times, is found between mentalities sharing the same quadrant. The arrows in the TET diagram indicate that mentalities on the perimeter can emerge naturally as more sophisticated extensions of the mentalities of the central group.

Boost Earnings Quadrant

Market-centred individuals, if they wish for greater financial success, realize that they have to move from just holding down a job to setting up, owning and running an enterprise.

Boost Understanding Quadrant

Cause-centredness uses a chosen cause-ideology as a basis for understanding the domain of interest, but it is inherently limited in scope. Maturity often engenders respect for the ideas and contributions made by other causes. In time, this awareness of multiple ideologies will lead to an embrace of Perspective-centredness and an enhanced understanding of personal and social matters.

Boost Control Quadrant

Power-centred individuals find that once a certain degree of power has been accumulated, self-interest requires sharing it safely. Kinship-centredness provides for trust and a way of maintaining control over this sharing. Creating a dynasty to carry on the legacy fulfils the perennial Power-centred dream: Immortality!

Boost Effectiveness Quadrant

Observant Community-centred people discover that their utilitarian goals fail to eventuate or are subverted, not least because many others do not share this approach. By becoming Reality-centred, it becomes possible to accept the limitations of social life, recognize motivations of others and achieve restricted but still worthwhile social goals more effectively.
