How People Talk Past Each Other

The Typology Rule:  Each approach sees itself as suitable for any decision-maker. Each approach claims to be capable of handling any and every aspect of work and management in its own terms. However "its own terms" usually involve re-interpreting the situation or its requirements.

Now try something easy and fun.

Imagine yourself into the shoes of each of the 7 decision mentalities. Answer the question as you think they would answer: then compare your answer with THEE's.

Your challenge is to switch between doctrines mentally on the fly—so don't worry about excessive precision or exact correspondence with the answer provided. Getting into the spirit is enough.

You may well think some of the answers are off the mark or even rather stupid. But never forget! ►Closed It does not look that way to someone with that mentality.

  • Try your hand at answering some standard questions often asked (or thought) in regard to decisions: ●Why on earth…?      ●What in God's name....?     ●How the heck…?  ●Who on earth…..?
