The Scaffold for Conjecturing

Formulae Conventions:  These non-taxonomic frameworks are a new phenomenon and the conventions for naming and formulae have not been finalized. Provisionally, it is necessary to distinguish between the taxonomic formula and the formula related to the emergent Trees which specify dynamic transcendental states. Levels in the latter will include the Tree symbol, K. So Willingness-RL7 (or RHL7) becomes Willingness (RL7) element-KL4, which may be abbreviated further to Willingness-KL4 or RL7-element-KL4 (e.g. risking-KL4).

Qualities of the Tree Levels

Research elsewhere in the Architecture Room has identified psychosocial pressures linked to each Tree Level. These pressures create apparent psychosocial similarities amongst different taxonomic entities. They are indicated below by green highlighting.

The Reordered Root Level Tree

Using the standard re-ordering of Root Levels revealed by the oscillating duality reversal, and then applying the conjectured dynamic duality (personal (Y) v situational/social (S)), leads to a Tree like that shown at right.

In this Tree, Willingness-RL7 moves from the selflessness-oriented KL7B Centre to the KL4B Centre, which is oriented to well-being. From there, it has links to every Centre except L1B, which is pure means. That is why the Tree frameworks to be developed are about situations where being willing is particularly prominent or problematic. So it is essential to feel good about our willingness.

If all emergent frameworks are about modulating willingness when it is the determining factor, then they must relate to overcoming social opposition or countering self-interest or replacing instinctive management of the situation or about boosting a breakdown in willingness for some reason. (This accords with making your personal pole dominate the situational-social pole.) You are still pursuing conventional endeavours while permitting yourself to take this stance.

Note however, that this «reordered Root-Level Tree» is not a framework for use and it does not have a THEE-name. It is rather a scaffold for developing a distinctive framework for each of the Primary Hierarchies based on the level-specific elements generated by a complete reversal of all oscillating duality poles.

Because there are 7 distinct Primary Hierarchies, there are 7 distinct emergent Tree frameworks. Each of these deserves its own descriptive name indicating its function in human life. The Centres shown here are already suggestive. However, the labels need to be made more specific and dynamic, and their elemental nature shown. Below, I focus in more detail on each Centre from the perspective of an enhanced significance for willingness, and suggest new labels. These labels draw on the findings in the Root Projection section.

Remember:Closed We are always dealing with an element that is located at a particular level in the corresponding Primary Hierarchy: it is shown via brackets in the text and via italics in the diagram.

Adjusted Labeling of Centres

The new Tree is a pattern of dynamic mental functioning for transcending seemingly insuperable obstacles. Note that two key actualizing domains (inquiry-PH2, change-PH3) move up to the transcendental zone of the Tree. If everything must occur in the mind, labels are needed to clarify what must occur and to remove any confusion with endeavours-proper.

KL7: Re-labeling Communication

You are making a major commitment when you insist on the dominance of your personal position over and above the situation, with its expectations and pressures. It must therefore be assumed you will be reluctant to act unless reality presents itself in such a way to encourage and support such a stance.

KL7B. The Tree involves special effort to take control of a reality. So there must be an implicit recognition that language is our guide to reality (cf. work). If reality is to be accessed via communication-RL5, then a dispassionate and impersonal approach is now required. This interpretation fits with findings that selflessness and transcendence are found at the highest Centre. Perceiving selflessly removes egotism and other biases, so liberating and guiding the relevant effort.

KL6: Re-labeling Change

Change-RL3 is one of the least understood Domains, partly posted in draft in mid-2024. It is about discrimination and depiction or definition of a state or a state transition. (Despite associations to the term, Change is not about doing or the direct results of doing. It is about the overall condition or identity of an entity-environment pair now and in the future. Any special effort must be shaped by autonomously taking up a new position. That is the only way to directly enable a change or identity-state, applicable both to yourself and to the situation.

KL5: Re-labeling Inquiry

The 5th level in THEE hierarchies generates or affirms existence of the relevant psychosocial field and its phenomena, and shapes them. Here, it seems that any special or unusual effort demands attention to understanding and explaining the response to a breakdown based on inquiry-RL2 of some sort.

KL4: Re-labeling Willingness

As noted above, this re-positioning of the willingness-RL7 element suggests that it is difficult to maintain under the challenging circumstances. It must therefore be given an extra boost, based on how you feel about it. A good feeling is essential, and it feeds into all the other Centres except KL1-Action. However, feelings can mislead. So there is reciprocal input: the element must be modulated by other Centres so as to keep you in touch with what is actually possible.

KL3: Re-labeling Purpose

Finding Purpose-RL6 at this low level close to action is suggestive of a practical emphasis. As well as inhibiting any tendency to giving-up, the positioning helps resist disruption by temptations like expediency. The pressure here is for acceptability.

KL2: Re-labeling Experience

Experience-RL4 normally gauges the design and pursuit of endeavours by having the central KL4 mediating position. Others will certain relate to it in that fashion. However, it then has no direct link to action-RL1. Here it has moved to KL2, directly above specific action elements. It can therefore provide energy and ensure that the appropriate action element is given attention. Researches elsewhere have indicated that the KL2 Centre functions under a pressure for certainty, which suggests that the experience element must be used for that reason. (By contrast, inquiry-RL2 and knowledge are the main source of confidence in endeavours-proper.)

KL1: Re-labeling Action

All effort beds down in action as the ultimate means, and performance is the pressure here. The focus is on a particular action level, and that element must somehow be a way to help advance this special effort—even though no action actually occurs in this framework. This framework must specify what sort of action will be most important for the success of the relevant endeavours-proper, and ensure it occurs in a timely fashion.
