Fundamentals for the Primal Need

The Domain's fundamentals exist to meet the Domain need, and these are what have to be controlled.

Domain Parameters

The Domain parameters were developed in the course of analyzing and appreciating the Root Projections to Principal Typologies.

As explained in this Section's introduction, we now include an additional concept: the Control Field. This Tree framework, was developed to be analogous to the Primal Field. It provides the determinants of a Principal Controller that govern the Primal Means so as to increase the likelihood that the Primal Need will be met in a social setting. The Control Field is drenched with the Domain's Psychosocial Pressure.

So these are the parameters for the Purpose Domain (RL6):

*Note: "Autonomy" as an objective power or effect is not the same as the instinctual pressure for "autonomy". However, it is to be expected that if there is intense pressure for autonomy, then the desired effect will be greater autonomy.

Naming History

The development of Purpose Domain Fundamentals and the Ethical Choice Methods occurred some decades prior to any awareness of the Principal Control Complex. This early development was codified in Working with Values (1995). A much later investigation associated with commencement of TOP took place in 2007-2008 and generated the Politics Satellite, and this led to discovery of the Complex.

In the Spiral-PH'6C, the Mode analysis is divided into Commonality (instead of Promoting Autonomy: but with the same effect), Individuality (instead of Handling People: but with the same effect), and Personal-Ethical Requirements (instead of Maintaining Civic Order: but with the same effect).

Because it is now a taxonomic principle that the Centres of the Spiral-derived Tree-PH'6CK are taken from the mode essences that promote the psychosocial pressure (autonomy in this case), some re-ordering of the published Mode values will be required.

Note the following earlier framework names:

Political Choice was used as the name for the originating Tree instead of Governance Determinants.
The Political Life of a Society was used as the name for the Structural Hierarchy instead of Exercising Autonomy.
Handling Political Tensions was used for the name of the final Tree instead of Legitimation of Politics.

Except for the first, the older names did capture the issue. So the account and the entities are mostly unchanged by the naming. Having said that, on returning to the posted Satellite with the present conception in mind, a number of errors were identified within the existing frameworks.

The lack of adequate conceptualization blocked investigation of the Control Field Tree, which is now placed on hold for completion when time and opportunity allows.

This particular Domain-RL6 revealed both the benefits of a satisfactory conceptualization and the dangers of a mistaken one.
