An Unexpected Observation

Although every possible division of hierarchies is revealing, the internal duality division into context and content is emerging as particularly significant.

The originating hierarchy, accountability in the levels of work is about converting outcomes, determined above, into outputs, determined below.

Organising management for participation is about converting energy, determined above, into outcomes, as determined below.

The structural hierarchy contains the whole originating hierarchy in each of his groupings/levels. So the concern for both outcomes and outputs is present in each level. What happens as the Tree is ascended is that the focus on outcomes is increasingly integrated into each group within the grouping. at GL5, outcome therefore dominates at all times.


A study of structural hierarchies is currently underway in the Architecture Room as part of research into a pervasive projection from the root hierarchy.
