Numbering Conventions
Specificity
This inquiry calls for specificity in referring to:
■ (7 incompatible Types).
A determines a person's actions. There are 7 approaches, which are numbered according to THEE’s formal order for a Principal Typology.
■ (7 compatible Contexts: 1 for each Type).
Each decision-making (i.e. method) has a corresponding Mode of achievement (i.e. values). Each Mode is made up of a set of generally accepted values intrinsic to the corresponding approach.
The generate:
■ (7 progressive Stages: 1 for each Mode)
■ (7: on becoming established in a particular Stage).
The management ethos evolves via a incorporation of Mode values. The ethos is named according to the newest Mode or latest Stage.
■ (a 7-level Hierarchy & Tree—based on essences of the Modes).
Determinants of organizational choice are analysed using Levels that emerge in a 1:1 correspondence from the Modes/Stages of cultural development
Conventions
Entities in each of these sets need formulae with numbers for ease of reference. However, the sequence of Modes is different from the formal order of Types/Approaches—as shown in the diagram above—and this could cause confusion.
So, for ease of recognition, this part of the website uses:
Roman numerals for the 7 types of decision
Arabic numerals for achievement Modes, cultural Stages, cultural transitions, cultural ethos's & levels of organizational choice.
THEE Note: Organizational decisions must be made irrespective of the stage of development of the management culture. Personal efforts to achieve, and all personal types of decision-making by individuals, are similarly required at all times.
- Get to grips with culture in organisations.
- Go to the foundation of management.
